India Outreach Witnesses Significant Growth

Early December, Brother Sam Thomas gave a presentation at Salam Christian Fellowship about his mission in India. Compassion India Outreach works to reach unreached villagers in North India and southern Nepal, working through local, trained, and financially supported missionaries.

Ministry Growth and Need
• Growth: The ministry has seen great growth, with 200 baptisms this year alone. Brother Thomas personally witnessed a 50% to 60% growth in the mission, with 20 new converts baptized during his recent three-week visit. New believers came from a different religion and are hungry for the Word of God.
• Child Development: The Child Development Program feeds and teaches Bible stories to approximately 200 poor children from Tribal villages, which helps their parents open their hearts to the Gospel.

Urgent Challenges

  1. Missionaries for Unreached Villages: There are many nearby villages living in darkness without the Gospel, but sending local missionaries is stalled due to a lack of funds.
  2. Places of Mission Work: Most believers gather in houses, but growing numbers means people must sit outside during worship. They urgently need simple fellowship buildings —one in West Bengal and another in Bihar. It costs only $5000 to construct one simple fellowship building. A Blessed Christmas from the Salam Board

As we celebrate the Nativity of our Lord, we at Salam Christian Fellowship wish our supporters and everyone a truly blessed Christmas. This season is a profound reminder that God’s grace and love were made flesh in Christ Jesus, for the salvation of all nations. We especially cherish the words that speak to the heart of this glorious event:

“For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.”

Isaiah 9:6 (KJV)
